€9,90
TARGET SPECIES: Dogs and cats.
DOSAGE FOR EACH SPECIES, ROUTE(S) OF ADMINISTRATION, AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION Administer orally.
Dogs:
For interrupting estrus: 1-2 mg per kg body weight (averaging 1.5 mg/kg body weight) for 3 days. Administration should begin at the first signs of heat (swelling of the vulva, appearance of bloody estrous secretions). Followed by 0.5-1 mg per kg body weight for the next 7 days, corresponding to 1-2 capsules in the first 3 days of treatment and ½-1 capsule in the following 7 days of treatment.
For delaying (temporary postponement of) estrus (transport, participation in competitions, etc.): 0.5 mg/kg body weight per day. Treatment should begin 7 days before the expected onset of heat and continue until estrus is delayed (minimum 14 days). If a prolonged effect is desired, the procedure can be repeated after a 10-day break. This procedure may only be applied once every six months.
In males in heat (satyriasis), with or without behavioral changes (aggressiveness or other alterations), administer the recommended doses for interrupting estrus in females.
Cats:
For interrupting estrus: 5 mg per cat (½ capsule) for 8 consecutive days, starting with the first signs of estrus.
For delaying estrus: 2.5 mg per cat (¼ capsule), three times a week throughout the estrus period.
In males in heat (satyriasis): 2 mg per kg body weight for 30 days (until signs are eliminated).
