Nonovulin BL - 10 Capsules for Delaying Estrus in Dogs and Cats

TARGET SPECIES: Dogs and cats.

DOSAGE FOR EACH SPECIES, ROUTE(S) OF ADMINISTRATION, AND METHOD OF ADMINISTRATION
Administer orally.

Dogs:

• For interrupting estrus: 1-2 mg per kg body weight (averaging 1.5 mg/kg body weight) for 3 days. Administration should begin at the first signs of heat (swelling of the vulva, appearance of bloody estrous secretions). Followed by 0.5-1 mg per kg body weight for the next 7 days, corresponding to 1-2 capsules in the first 3 days of treatment and ½-1 capsule in the following 7 days of treatment.
• For delaying (temporary postponement of) estrus (transport, participation in competitions, etc.): 0.5 mg/kg body weight per day. Treatment should begin 7 days before the expected onset of heat and continue until estrus is delayed (minimum 14 days). If a prolonged effect is desired, the procedure can be repeated after a 10-day break. This procedure may only be applied once every six months.
• In males in heat (satyriasis), with or without behavioral changes (aggressiveness or other alterations), administer the recommended doses for interrupting estrus in females.

Cats:

• For interrupting estrus: 5 mg per cat (½ capsule) for 8 consecutive days, starting with the first signs of estrus.
• For delaying estrus: 2.5 mg per cat (¼ capsule), three times a week throughout the estrus period.
• In males in heat (satyriasis): 2 mg per kg body weight for 30 days (until signs are eliminated).
